We try to represent more than one kind of woman, which is why you will see that most of
our heroines are big, beautiful women (BBW). We also try to write more than one kind of romance. Hence, the many
categories. All are interracial, but there's also some paranormal, some sci-fi, and a strong sense of family/community.
There's also some God references. Our stories fit into multiple categories because readers have multiple tastes.
While our stories are all different, EVERY
STORY WE PEN IS A STORY THAT WE'D LIKE TO READ.
If you read more
than one of our books you're going to notice some patterns. Just as formulas are present in science and mathematics,
there is a formula to our writing. Alpha male+kickazz femaleàchaos,
laughs, soul-searing lovemaking=happily ever after. It’s not enough that our heroes WANT the
heroine; they must LOVE, NEED,
and BREATHE the heroine. The alphas change
their lives to accommodate the needs of their woman, and the women? Well, after a lot of hell no’s
and such, they finally admit that they love the alpha that has them on lock.
Our male characters are unapologetically, straight up alpha.
Our female characters are southern and unapologetically strong, intelligent, and feisty. And ain’t
nothing wrong with that.
We
have made it a point to write female characters that are doing the da*n thing. That is, more often than not they are
highly-educated. Though all of them will not have double doctorate degrees, all of them will excel in their field of
choice regardless of whether they rock steel-toed boots to work, carry a thousand dollar briefcase to the building that has
their name on it, wield a curling iron with the fierceness, or choose to be stay-at-home mommas. Our heroines don't
take a whole lot of BS, so if you're looking for a sweet, meek, quiet woman, you need to read someone else’s
prose, because our women cuss, fight, and tell it like it is. And don't get it twisted. They're not stereotypes
or man-haters. They're just not taking any sh*t.
CHECK OUT ONE OF OUR FAVORITE READERS SAID ABOUT TRYING
TO SELECT HER FAV HERO & HEROINE:
...the male characters are all KICKA$$ ... the women
... well, they are all your favorite in a variety of ways. Their boldness and insecurity, as well as fierceness and integrity
is just too beautiful. OKAY, OKAY... AH, Jack, well, Sunny, but Atlanta, Aloha, Zuri and Victorious all also top notch. FORGET
IT, I CAN'T PICK A FAVORITE. Your stories resonate and evolve and honestly when I feel a certain way I can pick up anyone
of them and feel ... FEEL GOOD, FEEL EMPOWERED, FEEL SAD, FEEL HUNGRY, FEEL HORNY, FEEL JUSTIFIED, FEEL SATISFIED, FEEL LIKE
I BELONG, because each character hold a part of us. You have days in which you can pound your chest and clear the room. You
have a posse weather you know it or not, and they will ROLL w/ you against any and all danger, and they will ensure that you
and yours make it out as safe as possible. The antics of these women will make you laugh out loud and the love is tangible...,
weather it is for their mates and or family. SO.... I CAN'T PICK A FAVORITE. -Alcira B.
